Announcing the Blog

December 10, 2008 at 6:00 AM (Blog News, Website News) (, , , ) has recently launched our online blog. The website does a great job of presenting events; pulling the date, time, and pertinent information from our databases. However, there is little room for editorial content. We’ve heard from our users that they want more, more, more. More photos, more news, more coverage of Roanoke’s nightlife and our Blog will allow us to deliver this.
So what can you expect from the RoanokeNights Blog? How about interviews with local musicians, information about new music and nightlife venues, and news from around the Roanoke Valley that pertains to nightlife?  Of course we’ll be posting our Daily Event Lineups to the blog as well. When we do major website updates, add features, or post new photo galleries, we’ll let you know with a blog post.
What else you want to see here? Since was launched in October of 2007, we’ve been focused on providing you with the information you want, and this blog will be no different. If you see something we’re missing, tell us about it.
The blog will also allow us to present our information and events in different formats. Are you a fan of RSS feeds? Then simply use the RSS icon on the blog’s sidebar and subscribe to our feed. Maybe you prefer your information via e-mail. Our blog will soon be syndicated with our e-mail newsletter allowing daily updates to arrive conveniently in your inbox.
